WHITE RIVER HYDROELECTRIC                       POWER PROJECT

White River Locks and Dams 1, 2 and 3

                                   Independence County (Batesville) Arkansas

In 2004 Mobley Contractors started construction as the Prime Contractor of (3) power house turbine stations along the White River in Northern Arkansas.  Mobley is working with design engineers, Acres International from New York, to develop the best value for construction on this project. 

This is a major renovation/modification project to three existing lock and dams previously constructed in the 1900s.  The work consists of major earthwork, pile driving, heavy concrete to construct the power houses and the installation of turbines to be constructed simultaneously at (3) separate sites on the White River.

Unit #3 completed and generating power August 2006.
